Oh, bullshit. The Hurt Locker is a FANTASTIC movie. What did you want instead, Avatar?
I thought it was huge let down. Besides the main character everyone was one dimensional. And we was nothing more than just an adrenaline junkie (like in fast and the furious). Is the profound war message supposed to be “war is a drug”, yeah for one dude its not like this describes the whole war. So the plot and characters were meh (actually even worse than avatar) Maybe all the background depiction of Iraq is interesting, but again if you’re going by that Pandora » Iraq
I’d want Tarantino to win, if only as making up for him getting shafted for pulp fiction (editing and definitely screen play should have gone to him), but A Serious Man should have won best picture, it was better than all the other Coen brothers movies I’ve seen (the dude is more entertaining though) Also it sounds like Precious deserved it too, I need to see that.
